With the Hik-Connect APP, you can set up to 4 alarm areas. This means, for example, you can have the front of your home armed, while enjoying a BBQ out the back.

Away arm, stay arm and schedule arm modes make the system more flexible to use.

Also, the same app supports arming of cameras from our AX hub wireless intruder alarm system, this links your alarm and cctv and provides a total intruder alarm solution for internal and external protection.

Hikvision Smart Events

To the right is a motion detection grid.

Motion detection is the most commonly used way to trigger a security camera. Anything in the red squares that moves will cause the camera to begin recording. The main issue with motion detection is that although the red grid can be moved to avoid busy areas (for example a road), often at night moths and other bugs trigger the motion detection. This will happen over and over throughout a single night filling your recorder with false events.

Want more than just motion detection? Hikvision ip cameras can give options that stretch further than motion detection with their range Smart Events. These Smart Events are far more precise than motion detection which heavily reduces the number of false events you will receive.

Line Crossing Detection

The Line Crossing feature can detect any vehicle or person that passes over a predetermined virtual line. The line crossing can be set to be triggered by objects travelling in both directions (as shown in the image to the left) or in a single direction of travel. Hikvision cctv cameras even allow up to 4 line crossings per camera.

Intrusion Detection

The Intrusion Detection feature recognises if an object enters a predetermined space for a period of time. The period of time the object is in the area before it becomes an Intrusion event can be set when configuring the Intrusion Detection.

Region Exit Detection

Region Exit detection is able to recognise when an object exits a predetermined area. For example, if a car leaves the carpark to the right, a Region Exit event will be created and you will be notified.

Unattended Baggage Detection

Unattended Baggage Detection is able to recognise if any objects have been left in a predetermined space. This can be used for objects such as luggage or even dangerous materials.

Object Removal Detection

Object Removal Detection is able to recognise if an object leaves a predetermined area. This can be used for items on display or any other valuable objects.

Region Entrance Detection

Region Entrance Detection is able to recognise if an object enters a predetermined area. Although it is similar to Intrusion Detection there is one key difference. If an object enters the area, a Region Entrance event will instantly be triggered unlike Intrusion Detection which must be in the space for a period of time.
